Cruise Control

My cruise control use to work, until the mechanic changed the engine in my car. The light still lights up on the cruise control button but it won't cruise any more. Any ideas?

Make sure the cruise control cable is hooked up to the carb properly, and that there is a vacuul line going to the cruise control servo.

I also had the problem until i realised that i had mistaken the unit for pollution gear and removed it!!!

....lol
