Cross-country trip
Just joined the forum and thought I'd mention that I just drove my 1982 RX-7 GSL across the country (through the US and Canada) and put on 5500 miles in two weeks.
The '82 performed great (with only some minor heating issues that were solved with some more antifreeze on a day where the temperature was over 99F).
I wasn't too sure about Rx-7s and the rotary engine (I got mine in March), but after that trek I'll be keeping this one for a while.
....now I gotta start fixing 'er up.
P.S. ...hit (and killed) a very large hawk/eagle going 75mph. It smashed into the hood, with no dents, but it ripped off the "Mazda" insignia. Any idea on where to get a new one?

Nice trip
Rotaries don't die easily!
Get an insignia at www.mazdatrix.com (I'm pretty sure they have them... Just gotta look around!)

Yeah you can get an emblem at mazdatrixhttp://www.mazdatrix.com/n-7.htm also a source of parts is Victoria British, often refered to as VB around here. I don't think a lot of people like them but they do have a lot of parts. Personally I don't have any experience with them. Sounds like you're going to enjoy it. I got my 7 in April and absolutely love it.
