Turbo

I have a turbo question before I go and spend money and get it all hooked. I have a holley carb for my streetported 12a. Can I install the turbo with my carb still on, or do I have to buy the EFI setup?? Any help would be appreciated. Winters in so now I have time to get started on my baby.

You can do it with the carb, but I don't know what needs to be changed on a holly for it to work with boost, but it shouldn't be too hard.

Okay cool makes things a bit easier. Now I just have to decide which turbo setup I want. I was looking at the TII turbo. What do you guys think. Although I don't remember where to get it...s!@#...oh I'll remember sometime. Anyway anyone with a holley carb and turbo is there anything that I need to adjust on my holley to make it work??

Since you have a streetport, the stock TII is a bit small. The best thing for a streetport is to get a hybrid TII turbo with a T04 compressor. Robert, www.rotaryshack.com might know what needs done to a holly, and he should be able to get you the turbo too.
