I think I read some folks say the fit was a little 'iffy' on that product.

You should check the Good/Bad Guy Forum for reviews of their products and service.

I've seen the welding on their tri-bars--kinda sub-par IMHO...

i have checked it out...the reason why i'm asking if someone knows if they have them or if i'd have to wait for one...the welds though i've seen and they look fine to me...but then again...i'm looking at a tri strut bar purchased from them "back when they actually cared about their customers" I wouldn't know how much quality a recently made tri strut bar has

It absolutely does! The front end feels much more solider now.

I did have to cut the firewall legs off becuase it didn't clear my brake reservoir cap. But even with those legs it did make a noticable different.

Why not get a set-up from Mazdatrix or Racing Beat? I would imagine function, fit and finish would be o-k.

Order it now, and you should get it in time for Xmas, would make a great winter project

I'm happy with my 2 point Cusco bar, got it in 1 week after ordering.

I had a 3 way brace(not cp) on my 81 and it made a HUGE inprovement on the front end.

I got mine about a month ago when I got my new engine.

Build quality seems good. The welds are solid, and There's not a lot to complain about.
It would be nice if they included bolts with it fore the firewall, but a quick trip to the harware store fixed that easily enough.

Fit was just about PERFECT. I had to bend the fuse block forward about 1/8" to get it out of the way. It's snug around the airbox and brake fluid cap, but it fit without any real problems, and I can still open the brake fluid.
The biggest chore in getting it done was removing the VIN plate that would have been right under the passenger side firewall mount.

The front end is MUCH stiffer now.
To test it and make sure it wasn't just me imagining it, I didn't tell my wife about it. Then I sent her to the grocery store. When she came back she told me the car "felt funny", and that it seemed to handle better in the corners.

I find the most difficult thing with having it on, is that I actually NEED a funnel to add oil now.
