CP Racing Flush mount headlight questions/comments/concerns...

I'm looking at this kit, and I like the way it looks. The fir and finish seem to be top-notch. However, I am wondering if the beam pattern is as spotty as I think it might be. If I were to buy this kit, I am banking on converting it over to HID, but I need to know if the beam itself is still gonna be like 2 foglights, or if it will actually be like a real headlight.

Any of y'all that have it (max7, steve 84GSII, etc...), lemme know how you like it, what you don't like about it, yadda yadda yadda.

A word of warning, you can't go back to stock without welding. When you cut out what they tell you it makes it so weak that you have to weld the cutout back in. Thats what I'm going thru right now, it makes alignment of the stockers impossible until you fix it.
And that top notch fit and finish is not even close. I took them off cause they degraded the look of my car up close, nice idea, but cheap design and lights.

I like the kit and I was seriously thinking about buying them but I think the price is still too high. ($250 USD for the do it yourself kit-$500 for kit with Hella 3 inch lights) After some research I believe the lights they use in the kit are Hella Optilux 1500 series driving lamps. These lights are bright pencil beam lights but I doubt they compare to real high/low beam headlamps. I just feel that it's too much money and too risky to buy. It hurts to say this considering I really want the kit but I've decided to spend money on other things that I need for the car. Maybe when they drop the DIY kit price to a considerable amount like say $150 bucks for both light enclosures then I'll buy them in a heartbeat. BTW you can get the Hella lights for like 100 bucks for all 4 off of a website I found. So if you get the DIY kit and buy the Hella lights seperately you'd be saving like 150 bucks.

Max7- What was degrading about the kit? Please explain.

It looks good on the cars I've seen in the CP shop. And they're about to roll out a new version too. Looks even cooler...

Can't say much past that tho.. I like my pop-ups...
