That's kinda silly lookin, for an Rx-7.

If you need your hood to sit higher, just don't close it all the way, like I do with mine. Also good for heat exchange.

Interesting though, the high bidder was the guy who bought my plastic louvers on Ebay. He must be building one crazy lookin Rx-7.

ya i think a open hood at 100 mph is good idea likely weighs less open also and yes its a v8 351 ford

first off a 5.0 block can never handle the hp that a 351 block can, the 351 is stroked to 393 ci putting down 552 hp with 200 more on the button. dont get me wrong i love rotary engines i have two more rotary powered cars a 84 gslse and a 82 with 12a has 28k miles both are near mint conition my shop is dedicated to our passion with 1st gen rex we are working on many different things for the 1st gen including a carbon fiber dash for 84-85 that uses factory vents and guages

If that cowl hood mounted to the stock hinges, I'd be all over it.

I can't imagine taking the whole hood OFF just to get the car jumpstarted.
