i'm surprissed nobody asked what year the car was and if he had a front mount oil cooler or a bee-hive. cause the front mount drops the temps dramatically. mine has never went above 1/4 until i spung a leak. then while waiting for another one, i slipped on a bee-hive. went to 1/2. changed back around and back to 1/4. you can always do some hood changes also to let heat out and /or air in.

gotta agree with kettle on that one, a front mount oil cooler will carry away a lot of heat, racing beat used to say in there catalogs that the difference was the FMOC was like 1/3 of the total heat load, while the beehive only ccaried away 1/5 and left the rest for the radiator.
