Cooling System Schematics

I have looked in the FSM, Haynes, but cannot find a 1983 GSL 12A engine cooling system flow chart. I would like to see where the coolant goes to, from, into, out of, etc. I ask this because I am installing a FMOC. I have read Trochiod's write up numerous times. I have one question from it.
At the end, he mentions tee'ing the two coolant lines at the beehive together. He says this is fine for summer use, but for winter use would need to route to get it through the heater core for heat. ??!!??!!?? I am lost. I thought there were only two hoses, in and out. why would these not go through the heater core, later on down the line of course.
I will do some more looking at it at home, but would really like to find a coolant flow chart to reference.

The hose that supplies water to the beehive is hooked to a "T" fitting in the engine. The other "Leg" of the "T" supplies the heater core. The return hose from the beehive T's into the return hose from the heater core. Does that answer your question?

I used block off caps on these fittings when I installed the FMOC on my '83. One of these later blew out, and I replaced it with a short hose that was plugged. Middle of the night repair, that got me home......

yes. I have not looked at it hard, was looking for a diagram. I have to replace the hoses that I just got tonight, at least to get it back running. I am aquiring the hoses and an fittings to mount the FMOC.

Forget the T fitting. Just cut off the end of the fitting out of the engine so that it just has one outlet.
