could it be an older 4 port 13B, given the age of the car?

Incidentally I'm almost sure that's the model of car Dustin Hoffman drove in "straw dog"

you must have X-ray eyes as all i can see is a blue air filter housing , they could have modified it to fit a holley OR its the usual rotary advert ignorance .... seller looks at the carb , see's its a 4 choke carb and presumes its a holley?

But would the older 4 port 13b have the multi solenoid rats nest of the later 12a's? I also just thought it looked a little short in there. I did think about the possibility that the air can could be sitting on a holley, since the angle it is pointing does not match up with my car, or any other stock rx-7 I have seen, but then I took the rats nest into account which made me think it was a 12a and if they don't know the difference between the 12a and the 13b, then they probably think every 4 barrel carb is a holley...

Well, I half-heartedly bid on this, but my dad (Triumph Spitfire owner) is now going to bid on this with a purpose. I'll be happy to have him into the rotary fold - soon my evil plan will be complete!!!

I would drop my TII in it. I plan to run a Camden SC on the engine, then I would paint the car the same color silver as James Bonds original Aston Martin. If its bad assed enough after that, then I'll do the ATF smoke screen mod like in 82streetracer's thread here and get a custom tuxedo

Okay, my dad walked away with the car for $3300, now he has to have it shipped here from Cali. I know I'm fairly new here (hell, I don't even live with my parents), but anyone know where to get a Cali-FL shipping quote under the $875 he has now? It's a good price, but if he spends less, he'll be able to pickup a manual tranny and pedal cluster for it. Hell, if it's much less, I'll convince him to buy a bunch of items he won't need, then I can leech off of him for my 1st gen TII swap.
