I was wondering if it was possible to custom a stock air intake into a short ram intake... I have a 82 rx7 that is all stock. I've been looking around trying to find a short ram intake for my car but i can't seen to find it anywhere. Would you guys know where i can get it from? Or is there a was to custom my stock one to suck more air?

Actually, I'm working on modifying my factory airbox as we speak. Basically, I'm just triming it down to just a bottom ring to match a bonez top. I'll post pics tonight of the process.

Surely, having a completely (360deg.) open K&N filter exposed on top of the Nikki will suck more air than before.....

how bout those K&N air filter "lids" the lid is an actual K&N filter, so not just the sides, but you'd pull air in the top too

 

just cut out large rectangular patches outs the stock when only leave metal where the clips are and its basically the same thing and it is free. free. rx7carl has flow tested the flapper and **** but if you cut oult spots on the filter holder its even more.
