Remember guys, that the orginal rear bushes are bonded to the arms. Heat the arm and they come out with a gentle poke.

Preciate the help, I'm going to give it a shot today.

rwatson: I'm goint o try and spread them apart, a friend of mine said to use two pry bars back to back. I dont have any threaded bar, but sounds like it would work really well.

Here's a homemade bushing press I through together out of desperation. This is for a '98 328i.

I actually tried two pry bars and found it to be very awkward, hard to put much force behind them without them slipping off, and then did not have a spare hand to insert the LCA. If you have a helper it might work. You can get the threaded rod and a couple of nuts @ home depot cheap.

Yeah I didn't have much luck with the prybar method either, too awkward to operate two of them and insert the control arm without having somone else helping you....

You guys were right on the pry bar method. I found a nut and bolt that would fit in there to spead them apart enough to get both sets of control arms in there. I appreciate the help and support people provide on this forum.
