Contact point Q

I havent pulled my dizzy apart yet but how often should the contact points be replaced?
I have power to my lead coil and igniter but no spark and I have switched around my coils and igniters but still no spark.

If I'm reading your sig right, then you have an 85...

And if you haven't switched to a 79 or earlier engine, then you've got an electronic ignition.

Electronic ignition has no points...

It's got a magnetic pickup, which is unlikely to have problems... Check it out anyway... There are two inside, one for each ignitor... They have red and green wires on them.

u might have dirty and burn contacts on the rotor and dizzy cap. check em out and if blackish replace em

and even thought power is getting to the coils. u might have rusty or Corroded lead terminal coming out of the coil, which is stoping the spark.
