Question Connecting pipes

I have got a question about the factory connecting pipe needed in the Racing Beat "high Performance" system. Do those pipes usually go bad or need to be changed often? I have a 1985 GS RX-7 (12A), so should this pipe probably be changed? Finally, is there any place I might be able to get some Racing Beat stuff cheaper? Thank you for your time.

If you want the stuff cheaper, try finding it used. And as far as I know, the actual RB website has cheaper prices than any of the re-sellers. Thats where I ordered mine, and I had no problems with them (I ordered over the phone just to be sure they had the right stuff on their comp). They even agreed to send me some free stickers cause they dont give them away with the exhaust systems, and I wanted some . They seem pretty cool there. Also, I dont know much about the connecting pipe, mine looks good on my car (only 80K miles, babied, and garaged though), so Im not gonna replace it.

unless it is rusted, or damaged in some fashion or a nother, i donot think that there is any reason to replace it.

Well, I just want to tell everyone that I just ordered my "HIGH PERFORMANCE EXHAUST SYSTEM" from Racing Beat. I decided to keep my origional connecting pipe and I can't wait for it to come in. Could anyone tell my how much power they actually got from just adding this system to their car without doing any other modifications. Thanks for your time.

I have mine, and its installed, but Im waiting for a new radiator hose and new tranny fluid before shes started up after the engine swap , so we'll find out together. The one bad thing I have to say about RB (I know its a little late) is that they said about a week for delivery on mine, and it took about 2. Other than that it went great. I also just got my stickers in the mail they sent me for free, I was expeciting like one or two little stickers, but they sent me SIX full sized stickers that say "Racing Beat". Two in black, two in white, and two in red and blue .
