Compression test???
Compression test???
Since my car wasnt working, and didnt know why. I sort of checked my compression yesterday. I figured it couldnt do anymore harm.
Unplugged all of the spark plug wires, then removed the leading plug on one rotor and cranked it. pshh, pshh, pshh... Replaced the plug and removed the leading on the second rotor. pshh, pshh, pshh.
Now, was this sort of what i have to do. They all sounded the same and pretty even. If i dont have any real problems with the car, ie, sluggish at take off or when trying to pass. Should I assume that its fine. I mean, if they all sounded the same, but the compression was bad, would it run at all.
Thanks

Mt car ran with a blown seal, not very well mind you, but it ran. It started and idled, but no pick-up. I had to drive it to the shop which was about 20 miles away..... it took me forever to get up to speed and I used about a 1/4 tank of fuel.
The motor sounds good.
Check fuel, air and spark.
