Common Oil Leaks?

Where are the most common oil leaks located, i know that my '83 RX-7 burns oil, but its burning a crap load. I have to put new oil in it every week? Any clues where i can find the leak? I am changing the clutch this week so if there is anything to replace while i am in the engine/transmission that can help seal the engine up.

I would have to guess to check the apex seals, FMOC (cracks especially), I can't think of anything else off the top of my head... guys?

I'll try and post if I remember anything else.

have you looked in the FSM on how to measure how much oil your OMP is putting into your engine to be burnt. Are you leaking it or burning it?

If you're losing that much oil and can't find the leak, then you might not have one. Oil control rings on the rotors will wear over time, and you'll start burning a lot more oil than the OMP is dribbling in.

Uh, no...

Bad apex seals lead to low or no compression, not oil leaks.

You could try Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer, its worth a shot.

Again, are you leaking any????
