Coils and what to get.

I was considering replacing my coils. The problem is, they don't match the impedence Haynes says they should be, but they both read the same, 1.2 Ohms I believe. I looked them up at Kragen.com and they have a listing for Mitsubishi replacements and Hanshin replacements. Then they have some other coils that are more expensive.

Is there a reason that a 1985 GSL may have a specific pair of coils, Mitsubishi or Hanshin?

Is there a reason I would want a different coil and if so what values do I look for?

Also, I have read that people run 3rd gen plugs in their 1st gens. Would this be beneficial for a 12a or does it really not matter?
