What are the best igntition coils for my 12a. What are most guys using, and are aftermarket way better than OEM.

unless you are failing on the coils, you won't see much gain. the main things that will you'll see are smoother idle and revving, better gas mileage. i had some jacobs i found in a se i was parting a while ago. i can't really judge though, because i was switching to an electric dizzy at the time also.

Buy 2 MSD Blaster 2 coils from the Summit Catalog. They're about 35 bucks each. I just replaced my stock Diamond coils with the ones from MSD and I noticed easier starting and smoother revving.Much smoother. In fact my gas mileage is shittier now because I'm getting a much better spark and I horse the car a lot more, but I'm happy.

I was looking on the keystone site where i can get parts for cost + 10% and it says that with the accel coil you only need one but im pretty sure that is wrong since they are just regular cylinder shaped coils.

I've got the crazy Diamond brand. At 18 years old, they're less than adequate.
