I adapted some for a miata in this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...+husted+spring. I've autocrossed on this setup for about 3 years and have really liked it.

so... drifting in mind, should i go with with the coilovers or the struts, im guessing coilovers but i guess the low price is throwing me off, the coilover kits on respeed are good though? i know someone here mentioned them, thanks alot

So for drifting (not that i know anything) i would imagine you want an upgraded spring rate, adjustable ride height AND better shocks, inserts w/e. This would mean the RE-speed kit is the best choice with some good shocks like illuminas.
You will not find a typical honda style aftermarket coil over available for a 25 year old vehicle, lets be serious. But the re-speed kit IS an excellent product! Kenetsu is extremely competitive in autox and I believe there are some drifters with the kit as well, i myself recently put on a set of fronts and the difference is night and day to the old saggy stock ones; in my mind its what a sports car should feel like now: sporty

The RE-Speed adjustable spring perches are designed to slide over the strut body and rest on the stock spring perch. There are no modifications to be made to the suspension. This applies to the street version. The race version requires that you cut off the stock perch and weld on the one that comes with the package. This is so the racers can get their cars lower than the street version will allow.
For dampers (or shocks for those of you that don't like the correct terminoligy :P) if you don't want to bother with adjustability, for instance if you primarily drive on the street and only occasionally track the car, I would recommend Tokico HP (Blues). I've had these on my car for 2 seasons, and actually just auto-Xed for the first time ever today, and I wasn't unhappy with them. They very comfortable on the street and held up well today. If your going to hit the track a little more often then I would suggest the Tokico Illumina's. You'll want the adjustability.

With re-speed you have 2 options. The plug and play "street" kit. Or the modification necessary race kit. The race kit (dont know much about) you weld a new perch on the assembly, so ultimately you can drop it way more than the street kit.
And yes, any shock made for the first gen rx7 of your yr will fit (i believe SA's are different from FB's). This is due to the fact that it retains the macphearson(?) strut style of suspension.
You can see pictures someone posted in this thread. If you have other questions either ask here OR send a PM to bwaits (Billy, from re-speed), as he knows his products better than anyone else does (obviously).
You also have options for shocks. I personally got blues because of budget. I may upgrade the fronts to illuminas but that wont be for awhile. It also depends on what spring rates you get as i believe the blues are not recommended for anything over 250 ft lbs but someone else can confirm that.

Just talk to Billy. You can PM him on this forum, his user name is Bwaits. Let him know what you want from the car, and he will advise you on the parts you need. He advised me on my setup, and I have no regrets at all...
