For oem style replacements, try the Blaster II coils.

They will give a hotter spark for better fuel burn. Will it make abig difference, not much unless your present coils are weak.

Make sure to get the Blaster High Vibration Coil, PN 8222 as they are designed to be mounted in any position. The normal blaster 2 coils can start leaking if mounted in the stock horizontal locations.

I've always had good luck with stock Diamond coils and aftermarket Bosch. Even some Hanshin coils out of B2000 and other Mazda 4 cylinder cars work fine as long as they explicitely state something about using with transistor ignition. Don't use the coils that say anything about using with ballast resistors as they were for points.

If you want a better burn then use the 2nd gen coil on the leading side. I have had better fuel economy and a crisper throttle by doing the simple 2nd gen coil upgrade.

Be nice if someone made Coil On Plug so we could eliminate the leading ignition wires for those of us doing wasted spark ignition.
