Clutch's,, pedal presure and master cyl.

Hey all

I have a good clutch, bought it from mazdatrix awhile back and it works good, stainless braided hose, and the slave is mazda stock. The pedal presure makes me seek
some way to make it feel harder, stiffer. I ******* hate the mush both of my 7's have. On my 82 i've rebuilt, honed, bought other masters from boneyard to try open up some of the fluid passage's. that works,sort-of. what happens is that the hardline connectors can't seal and fluid flows past the threads, the fluid, flows i guess more then the master can handle. I've even tried a larger hardline with larger size threads and hose. The weakiest link would be ????

Have you played with the adjustment? I'm all stock and I think my MC is on the way out but I can pump and get a pretty hard pedal.

RX-7's just have light clutches, at least the three that I've driven. I like a light clutch pedal myself, especially compared to driving Manntis's Daytona. :P

Donna, theres a rod, under the dash, connected to the clutch pedal, if you can see the rod that goes through the floorboard,,see the nuts ? adjustable,.,,,, 12mm same as master cyl. nuts. ok,,awhile back i told you guys about a 12a rotory engined MG midget that i drove.
the MG was using a mazda clutch MC. i looked. i asked the guy what he had done to the MC and he said ' opened it up a bit '. that MG pedal felt right, not too hard, not too mushy, perfect !! i don't know how to stop the fluid from pushing it's way around the threads,, maybe a different thread pitch ??? this is between the master and the slave cyl.
