Clutch and Tranny Question

Well its been to cold and snowy so we havent gotten the car started due to near dead battery, but we have a charger now so hopefully we can get it started sometime soon. But the master cylinder was loose from the firewall, tightened that up but since havent got the car started yet we dont know but I'll tell you guys when we get it started.

As Trochoid has already stated, this combo won't work if your using the 82 flywheel. The 225 mm clutch plate will fit into the 82 flywheel enough that you may not have realized it's too big but there is no way it's going to release. But if as you said the flywheel is an 85 then the trans. year won't matter, the spline on the output shaft is the same.

If I remember this right, he has an '85 engine, the '85 flywheel on the '85 engine, the '85 clutch and pressure plate on the '85 flywheel on the '85 engine and a 1982 transmission bolted to that thar '85 engine...

Well its not my car and I have to wait untill my friend has time cuz he is still in school and works after school. His mom would mostlikely kill me if i was in their garage without him there. But its friday and the weekend is here so start sometime this weekend I hope.
