Clutch probs? Help

Hey, like the title says, I'm having clutch probs.

Ya see, my pedal sticks to the floor and has anywhere from -0 to 0 pressure, so I thought it was my master/slave, but it's still full of fluid, could it still be messed up without it losing fluid? Or is there something wrong with the clutch itself.

thx

I am not familiar with the clutch linkage on the 7, but this test method is done on other hydraulic systems:

As a test, block the slave cylinder linkage from moving, then apply pedal pressure. It should work like a brake system, in that you will feel pedal pressure rise if the master cylinder and slave both work.

I would recommend replacing both the master and the slave cylinder. I found the parts on EBAY for cheap. It took about two hours and the worst part is actually removing the bolts off the back of the master cylinder.

Before i replaced mine i had a shop bleed the system which lasted about a week and then it was a quitter pedal again. Replacement is the way to go for piece of mind.

You should also replace the flex line between the master and slave.

Be sure to replace that wicked flex line: it has a sneaky way of leaking and causing loss of pedal. You can get parts cheap at rockauto.com.

Well, just looked at my fluid, and it was black!
Gonna try replacing it and seeing if that works, thanks all.

Can bad fluid do this?
What it's doing is, the clutch releases when I push the pedal down, but when I release from the pedal, the clutch grabs way to early and hard and the pedal sticks to the floor.... could this be a leak? Air in the line? My fluid is bad.... anyone know?
