Clutch master Cylinder questions

Apparently 28 year old clutch master cylinders dont like clutch kicks.

I was just wondering if i could replace my stock(blown) unit with one from an FC? Use the push rod from the FB and everything else from the FC? Would that work?

the studs for mounting the fb master is at 12 and 6 positions. i think i've read somewhere before that the fc master is different.

i didnt end up buying anything to fix it. I took a fc master, took out the internals, modified the piston, and used the FB spring. works wonders.

they tend to do that. that's why many of us suggest when one goes, go ahead and replace both along with the flex hose.
