being upside down is the only position I can see doing it... You don't need to remove that clutch pedal push rod... because your just adding more work to it....adjusting it after... and you still don't get that much space... I took out that push rod at the yard and it didn't made much of a difference... however... at the yard... what helped was bending that solenoid or relay that's just right there... I bent that sucker and made enough room just to get it twisting...

Did you use a standard box end wrench or an off-set one? I found that even with the 12-point there wasn't enough swing angle to easily operate the wrench. I had better luck with the ratchet. Just my experience...
