My only thought is if it would fit, why would they make two different parts?

I was wondering about the cross compatability of flywheels myself.

Are 12a and 13b flywheels the same size? The turbos are definatley different... but I don't have a 12a and 13b flywheel to compare.

all trhe n/a fly wheelsfrom 83 up to 91 are all the compatible with one another. As long as you use the correct counter weight you'll be fine. You cant use the stock flywheel however since it has the counterweight built into it.
