clutch fork play/release bearing lube

How much play (fore/aft) should the fork have? Mine wiggles back and forth, haven't measured it, but should it move at all?

I read that the release bearing should be lubed, but with what and how much?

the throw out bearing or release bearing is sealed. But clean the shaft with fine grit sandpaper to remove any burrs etc etc, apply a dab of grease and slide the t/o bearing back & forth.

that should be fine and if you're using brand new clutch disc, spray the center section with brake cleaner to remove excess paint and apply small dab of grease on the input shaft. that will make trannny install easier.
