To me FB from 1983-1985 are 225mm as are the 2nd gen cars non turbo cars. Prior to '83 the clutches are 215mm and will not work.

Actually, the disc can be used from 83-92 NA engines. and the Pressure plate from 84-92 6 port engines.

IS that only if you have an -SE or does that include 12a's as well?

6 port is usually the SE motor. the disc can be either a 12a or a 13b 4 or 6 port, carb or efi

From what I remember, yes.... with minimal effort. But I'll just use this post as a bump for you until someone else can more accurately answer your question with something better than "I believe so". I know some people swap in TII trannies when they're pushing mega hp because they're stronger... so I would think so.

I'm pushing bone stock horsepower but the synchros are going out and it's grinding into gear most of the time and from what I've read it's pretty much impossible to find the parts needed to rebuild the tranny. I like the idea of keeping the original tranny in the car but it's pretty much not going to happen.

Just get another FB tranny in good condition, the n/a FC trannies are not any stronger.
