I had a '92 Ranger for a while, and man, it was awful. You pretty much had to touch your left knee to your chin before it'd disengage, lol

The 84 I drove was nice, short pedal travel, touchy, and I like that. My 96 accord is long, quite soft, and its not too good in general. Any car if you give it too little gas will buck and rock because it needs to get enough power to the wheels to move.

I learned that when you rev a little before you release or while your releasing the clutch you wont get a jerk or the car wont stop and sometimes it just take a little practice to learn the way your car clutch is set up i believe you can also adjust it as well

sounds to me like adjusting it would help a good deal. Also, my car stumbles taking off because of my accellerator pump needing adjustment, which means i need to give it a little more throttle taking off, and that's hard on the clutch, having to slip it all the time with some throttle.

Never noticed it but the only time I'm behind the wheel is when I'm launching it at 5G's on a hill course. Gotta love that rolling start.

clutch adjust the same way as the gas pedal. BTW you dont need to use all the clutch pedal, my stock clutch disengages after 3-4 inches of pedal movement

My clutch feels pretty normal also, I'd say the same 3-4 inches you guys are describing. I can't believe the people that have the clutch engage in what seems like 1-2 inches. Makes the car a PITA to drive.

What? You race downhills? And some one else drives the car up to the top for you? I don't think I understood your post, because launching you'd still be sitting still, not a rolling start.
