Angry clutch?????

hey boys, well this morning i went out to my 7 started it up i hear a knocking or ticking noise coming from the engine bay,so i go for a drive. When i push in the clutch it goes away. So i thinking somthing to do with the clutch, maybe one of the springs in the clutch is busted or something is broken in there. My rx7 has a brand new 12a with a streetport and it was a brand new throw out bearing....so what do you guys think??

See if the answer is here. http://www.mazdatrix.com/g2.htm

Did you change to pilot bearing out?

I just finished my clutch today. I left the pilot bearing alone.

Springs don't usually go bad unless you sidestep at high RPM, or jerk the tranny. Try the pilot, and throw out bearings. Your GOING to need a puller for the pilot bearing, no questions asked...that's the only way to get it out. A small diameter slide hammer works excellent if you can find one, and since the tranny is out, you can check out the clutch disc. 2 hour job tops

Thumbs up

Hey cpa7man -- thanks for posting that link... I think my problem on my car is the throwout bearing.
