Cool I'm looking at this RX-7?

Hey I'm looking at a red 83 FB RX-7. It runs but it's been sitting for a few years. My uncle's selling it and he said the last time it ran was about a year ago (should still run hopefully.) It needs cosmetic and engine work. It has a manual tranny. On the bright side it has a new clutch and brake pads. He'll most likely give it to me for under $500. I'm going to look more into it then I might get it. What do you guy's think?

If it runs and doesn't need anything major anytime soon, it's a steal if you ask me.... Then again, depending on what YOUR definition of "major" is, it may be even more of a steal. Even if it needs a real good tune-up and a few other mods that would cost you <$100 to get it up and running, that's still a helluva deal, hombre!

Good, straight sheetmetal on a dead paint 1stgen RX-7 that is not a running car goes for about $500. So you can see that getting one with a working engine for that price is a don't-pass-it-up opportunity, especially with relatively new replacement parts...
