clutch

ok so my clutch is acting really strange... if i hold the pedal in for too long the clutch grabs super low and the idle starts getting all jumpy and low and its hard to take out of gear. i have never had this happen in any other car. does this happen to anyone else?

Sounds like the clutch hydraulic system needs replacement. You'll need a new master cylinder, slave cylinder and flex hose. The parts are not that expensive and it's a fairly easy job to do. You can probably order the parts from your local auto parts store or www.mazdatrix.com or www.victoriabritish.com can ship them to you. Good luck!

Not to contradict you inittab, replacing the whole system would definately fix the problem, but it could be overkill don't you think? If money is an issue, you may want to very carefully look for leaks. You may just need to rebuild one of the cylinders, or replace a line.

usually when one cylinder is in need of replacement, the other is not too far, so better off just replacing both IMO.
