cluch issue

I have an 82 rxt GSL. my issue is that I have lost all hydraulic on my cluch pedal. I started looking at the master cylinder and it looks ok. No leak at the pedal as well. I then started looking at the release/slave cylinder and noticed inside the rubber boot that there is oil and the shaft is not even attached to the slave cylinder. Now this maybe a dumb question, but is the shaft suppose to be connected to the slave cylinder. so for such a dumb question.

the pushrod does not attatch to the slave cylinder. it sits on the piston and rests on the clutch fork. sounds like the slave cylinder's piston's seal has failed. rebuild ro replace.

Trouble disengaging equals a bad clutch slave. Buy one they're pretty cheap and easy fix.
