I'm not sure what you're talking about since you're not being very specific. My best guess is the clips are for the anti-rattle of the pad to brake rotor.

no, I believe they're just so they don't rattle. Why would you want to take them off if you have them?

oh i took em off when i was changing my brake pads and i forgot to put em back on so yeah thanks

You should have put them back on. The pads will rattle against the rotors and make a tapping noise as you drive. If it gets bad enough with the vibration the pads can develop hairline cracks.

yeah i need those clips bad

hawk hp plus pads + no brake clips in the front passenger side=random "car guys" asking if ive got valvetrain problems lol

yeah, those clips are kinda important. it wont take long to put them back on. they hold the pads in the right spot when driving. kinda like your seat belt.
