Click coming from front...

My 7 resides atop a rather high incline. When I back it out of the garage (backwards down the incline) and press and release the brake, there is a loud click sound from the front of the car everytime I let off the brake. Upon inspection, I noticed that there was a little clip type thingy missing on the thing that holds the pads in place. I bought a brake hardware kit and put a new clip there. Needless to say, the click didn't go away. Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem and it turned out that I installed the clips incorrectly.

Sure ya got 'em right?

(the click isn't a serious issue... it's more of an annoyance....and could wear down your pads faster than you'd like, I imagine)

Well... when, there wasn't any kind of spring when i checked. I checked both sides--no springs. Everything is quiet and works fine going fowards... just not backwards! SO annoying!
