Cool CIVIC FRONT BUMPER What do you think?

This Is my 84 Rx-7 i just wanted to get these updated pictures up. if you want to see the old pictures search for a thread called (shaved back bumper what do you think) so check those out .

Keep in mind im only 16 years old. so i know the work isnt the best but im working on it. i plan on molding it all in and getting ride of that trim and yes i relize its not that even. ive been working on fiberglassing the interior so i havent had much time to work on the front. i will get the interior pics up soon. anyways tell me what you think of the front.

Looks a little too flat....maybe if you could find a way to mount it farther back it'd give it some depth....

But the way it is right now, something just doesn't look right.

IMO I like the looks of the wings west air dam, its got more of a squared off look that I like oh ya and your subs are facing the wrong way, face them towards the back of the car and they will be at least 2x louder

It looked a bit better when it was a smaller thumbnail pic. It does seem a bit odd. A little bulky and it doesn't match the lines so well like another said.

I came to this thread thinking I'd find something horrible and terrible. But it doesn't look like a horribly done job. And for being 16 I'd say it's really good

im in your baot man im 16 and i think it looks pretty decent if you took alittle more time into the body with alittle bondo i think it would look good...get rid of that trim and mold the bumper into the fenders and stock rx7 bumper so its all in one line and not changing shapes where you can see that it is attached.......looks like your going the show look not track look so.....yea

Pretty creative. I think so many of us have observed the SA/FB body-form so intensely that it is difficult for many of us to think 'outside the box'. Nice work.

Also, I am curious and wondering how you'll be 'glassing the interior. Doing custom door panels by chance?

The outline of the bumper that attached to the car (front upper bumper and bumper to fender) needs to be blended in. I think it will look much nicer that way.

with some side skirts and a rear wrap around, it wouldnt look bad at all...just get it finished so it all blended in and what not, and with sideskirt and the like, and a new color, itll be hot ****.

awesome work on the body

but as said, it doesn't really "flow" right, look on the side and front view, onces its blended it will look better but you can really see the difference between 80's lines and now.

But its your car, and you really did good work on it, keep it up for the rest of the car

IMO, makes it look a bit like a 240 SX. Coming from me, that isn't exactly a BAD thing, mind you. Just kills the look of the RX 7 a bit is all.

the thing that makes it look really funny to me, besides the line between the fender and the bumper, and the uneven line by the cowl panel, is the lack of a rear bumper... it makes it look so strange to have this huge bumper up front and nothing in the back, it makes the car look very unbalanced... like others have said, if u worked on the lines itd probly work real well... its way better than the retarded acura integra bumper a few people have used...

1) those rims are HORRIBLE!!! that said,

from the front it looks just plain great. could use a bit more bondo to make it look more "seamless" but from the side it does look a bit akward. the lines of the car just dont match up right.

Amazingly enough, despite the fact that I came in here to flame... I like it!

It looks like you kept the upper half of the Rx7 bumper, and used the lower dam of a civic one.. and I think that with some professional smoothing it could turn out kinda nice.

But not in white... You need a cooler color

What everyone else said.

Obviously it needs some work as you already know. I think it could look really nice when done. The lines could easily be made to flow very well since the bumper shape isn't bad. It just needs some nice side skirts and a rear skirt to be tastefully done and it'll look pretty cool. Keep working at it. It'll get there.

even if it just had a side skirt, and a rear bumper, itd look a lot better... imo the bumper throws off the whole look
