Chopped my front springs..... :(
I had nothing to do at work, and wanted to see the nose come down on my 83. Put it on the lift and cut one coil off the top, while still on the car. Pretty easy with a cutoff wheel. When I lowered it back down, it looked pretty good. The front was even with the back and it still rode pretty good. But I wasnt satisfied. So I took off another coil. I knew right when I made the cut it was too much. Lowered it back down and cussed. NO TRAVEL. Looks good tho. Front wheels are 1/2 inch under the fenders. Rides like a honda. HAHA. Boing boing. HAHAH. But its cool. I have a 84 with an LSD thats going into the 83. Just have to do the front also.
Lesson here: DONT CUT YOUR SPRINGS. Buy them.

I like how my car sits with ST springs. They ride real smooth too. If it was a track car I'd want a lot stiffer springs, but it handles good with these.
If you want I could send you my used struts/springs for $20+shipping. If noone wants them they're going in the trash with a bunch of other parts.

guys, don't you know cutting springs is for FOOLS??? Want to go lower? Buy the right springs! In europe you won't pass any inspections with cut off springs! It's just not safe/good. RB springs aren't expensive at all, so just get a set.

Like the time I was helping someone replace the engine in his GXL and we took a pic of one of us holding the engine up (only had the driver's side motor mount installed) and the other one of us holding a TII exhaust manifold and turbo up to the engine. The number of people who thought it was a "real" pic was hilarious. (Hint: There is no way on this world or any other that you can just bolt-up a TII turbo setup to an N/A engine... negative clearance between the turbo and the intake manifold)
