Question Choke does not stay out anymore when pulled

My choke... I have no idea what is wrong but the choke must be held all the way out by a vise grips... I had nothing to do with this but i cant figure it out. It wont stay running without them and i am blowing so much gas its ridiculous. Ive taken a look and i have no idea what to say. Maybe the spring for the choke is out. Im so lost. Any suggestions?

Check to mke sure the connector or wires at the thermo sensor located at the back of the water pump housing is not broken.

there's the temp sensor where doc said, the choke cable, the connector on the choke itself, and the ground under the dash. Look up the carb manuals here for testing them: http://wankel.net/~krwright/cars/rx7/manuals.html

Stick a quarter, on edge, between the back of choke **** and the dash to hold it out.
If the car won't run without the choke pulled, I'd check for vacuum leaks. If your car is 81+ 12A start with the big hose that goes from the #2 anti-afterburn valve to the intake manifold. Check the bottom carefully. It often gets melted by the exhaust.
