checking interest in turbo What should I do

Some of you maybe familiar with my set up.

I'm upgrading the turbo and the manifold doesnt work with the new turbo and I need funds to purchase new stuff. I'm trying to decide if I want to scrap the bigger turbo idea and make all new exhaust and stuff. Or jsut sell the rebuilt turbo and move the stuff below to the next car. Oh the delema...

So on the sales list will be

K26 KKK turbo
Sigma exhaust manifold
Sigma external wastegate
possibly oil pan with return installed
full exhaust from the turbo to the muffler 2.5 inch straight though mandrel bends.
and intercooler

Man, I dont know what I was thinking and and and and....boy thats hard to read..

Anyways the idea is to start over with the bigger turbo and sell the current set up to fund the build or Just forget it and run the stuff I have now. Guess it rests on rotaryshack if he can get me the T3 exhaust manifold for the turbo. What do you guys think I should do?

This

or this

depending on the outcome, there will be a nice setup of some sort on ebay in the near future.

Go bigger. I am going to be selling my Turbo as well, as I have purchased a bigger one - for more boost.

It sounds like its all gonna be a pain in the *** to do, new exhaust, new manifold, maybe new oil lines, I dont know. Yet I have been in the same position, the turbo I wanted was actually a s4 hybrid, going over from a s4 turbo, so I didnt have to change all the stuff for the turbo. BUT, I wanted to go over to a tubular manifold, so I had to redo my exhaust, my oil lines, and my intercooler piping. But damn does spool up quicker now! Go with the bigger turbo, who doesnt like a bigger turbo???

Here's a pick of my upgrade, just to show off my turbo (its not that big, but I'm proud!)

Well, good ole uncle sam just helped me make up my mind. The car is getting out back together with the K26 turbo. The K27 turbo will probably be on ebay here shortly if it doesnt sell to a friend locally. I will be leaving for Japan in the next 10 monthes.

sean, where did you get your oil supply from? Do you have a pic of it? Also, are you having any troubles with the return in the pan with oil backing up in the line? Maybe a pic of that too?

Timmy,

I got my oil return from KSP engineering, just outside the back gate of Yokota AB. Japan. I had them order it when they ordered a few missing pieces from the turbo kit. I never found a problem with the oil return in the pan. I had a 3/4 inch fitting and hose as the return so.. Only thing I really noticed was the kinda messiness from the heater hose trying to hold oil. Seem to be a little seepage from somewhere. But on a good note I will not be reusing the item in the next build so if your interested I have a fitting for the turbo and a oil pan with a hose connection on it.

Damn you said oil supply. got an RB block that goes under the oil filter. all the other stuff was ebay.
