check this out!!!!

ok so i have had my 84 gs nd done alot i mean alot to it in the last 6 months full tune up went with a se alternator rb springs kyb struts all 4 cross drilled slotted rotors 85 gsl rear end with 85 se chunk ss b lines replaced alot of broken interior parts redid door panels on the top replacd with black pleather new tires koni 1 1/8 front sway bar with urethan sway bar bushings and poly end links added a few extra ground wires rb header emptied cats removed air pump and emissions 82 oil cooler with mazdatrix ss oil lines totally removed all restriction on air canister and i think thats it. i love my 7 it is the **** to drive i love it so much that within that time i have acquired 2 an 82 and an 81 for free. so today i went to the junkyard and found a center console with a perfect condition hinge it was brown but thats fine bought some flat black krylon interior paint and it matched my grey alomost perfect good enough for me so i finish throwin that in and pop my hood to show my buddy how my rats nest removal is soon and according to the tutorial all i need to keep is that one vaccum diaphram and all of a suppen my lights pop up!!!! keys not in ignition nothing on hasnt been started in almost full day and they pop up WTF can some one tell what could be going on. here is what i did to troubleshoot it mind you it was dusk and i have no garage anyways did a search and found out about the fusible link robbed one off of my 82 but it is a 1.1a fuse 84 is 2.5 so that didnt work checked all wires couldnt find any broken wires the car is in awsome shape no rust under the hood on anything so frayed wire is not a huge concern but ill look 2 morrow i started the car and turned lights on and off that works but they stay up. so anythoughts are welcome sorry so long but kinda an update and a WTF thread all in 1. thanks for listening

Not sure about the lights, but you can remove the hinge and put it into your original center console if you're so inclined.

I know that the main switches around the center console can short out but since you were looking at the engine when it happened you'd have to think that something's shorting out somewhere in the engine bay.

PS - Nothing wrong with carriage returns.

i have done a search and replaced the fusible link which is 2.5 amps did nothing, then i replaced that retractor thingy on the driver strut tower did nothing next is going to be the motor relays i will be lucky enough to have an 85 at the jyard i can rob them from so ill see 2morrow if that is it or not i have looked at the majority of the wiresunder the hood and i cant relate them to the lights ill look under the dash tomorrow. any suggestions would be appreciated. off topic are 79 glass sunroofs hard to come by??? if so or is someone wants one i have one make offer its in decent shape
