well i know its not a first gen or a rotary at all but since i hang out on the first gen forum the most i thought id post it here
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1871581709
with a dead motor i think this is an ideal rotary swap.

Don't put a rotary where a piston motor use to be..that is just wrong. Plus it will throw off the wonderful balance of the car

Well, I have been to Windy a few hundred times, and have autox at the airport and Kentucky Motor Speedway. I have also stopped by Mike P's a few times.

Yelp, Randy's car runs very good for a thrown together job... I know Randy is capable of a lot more, but for $600 and it runs, and runs VERY good at that... Id not complain.

that thing is way tight,

keep it piston though,

How about this

jet black with the grill and wheel lips chrome.
mazdaspeed protage engine with stock turbo but larger exhaust and a rpm activated nitrous system> NO TIP, just a downturn flush with the bumpers
low as ****, custom miata suspension, with wide, black w/ chrome lipped panasports
grey interior, recaros, and with every possible autometer Cobalt guages.

If I had that some money laying around I would buy it in a second.

It's a Twin of the R100 Rotary powered version. A rotary is designed to go in there as well as a Piston.

Put a rotary, and change the badge, and you're done.
The original R100 brings a 10A engine.

It's a good project car, if the price is right.

That one is a lot nicer looking than the one on ebay, has a much smoother shape to it. But for me..I will take the starlet in the other lane
