changing the colors of my seats...

well i bought these seats out of a sport model FC, 20 bux each... heres the first one so far... i hated the blue/light blue almost grey... and they were in pretty junky condition... so i got a can of the grey and a can of the black duplicolor fabric dye, masked off the middle, sprayed 2 coats, then masked off the outside part, sprayed too coats, and heres how they look... i'm very happy with them... they should be able to be sat in in about an hour i'd say... i'm not gonna be sitting in em till the weekend tho...

heres the origional crappy looking seat...

heres the new ones, nice grey and black mmmmm

got the idea from the FC section of the forum...

Dammmit son. those look pretty good. If it wasn't for leather, I'd go get a can or 2

i was kind of inspired by these seats i saw in the junkyard, i was half tempted to pull them... they were in a FB, they were black and grey like mine, but they had red striping down the middle... probly 6 stripes, the middle ones were thinner, the outer ones were bout half an inch wide, all within an area of 6 inches, they looked incredibly good... i'm even considering doing that to my seats... itd be easy enough to do, just take some good masking... i dunno tho

I can't stand these red leather seats.......I have to peel myself off them after I get in the hot car and they melt my skin into the leather...
I'm looking for a set of 2nd gen seats, but I don't want to pay shipping so it's tough...

i'd like a set of grey 87-88 TII seats, but those are tough to come by... the only one locally is the one in my wrecked 87 TII, and its just a passenger seat, and now that its rainy again its got green things growing on it
