Weighed my GSL-SE today and i was impressed!

Weighed my GSL-SE today and i was impressed!

so i got curious and wanted to see what my car weighed after removing the usual a/c, emissions b.s.

my car weighed in at 2380lbs, which is 210lbs lighter than teh stock curb weight according to car and driver

yep, mine was 2250 w/ sub woofer, full stereo, only missing spare tire and rear carpet. oh and the usual a/c, etc.. in the engine bay. i love these cars!

How full was the fuel tank? That would make a difference if you weight it empty or full.

i'd like mine to be 1500lb 2 inches off the ground with a dry sump oil system and then engine mounted lower

I was 2200 with only a dash and 2 sparco seats, no AC, emissions and custom exhaust. This was also with the sunroof removed, the spare tire and jack gone, and basically everything except the papers in the glove-box.

if u put a fiberglass hood, fenders and replaced all the glass wit plexiglass 1700 maybe?

I've heard of a fully tube-frame 1st gen race-car weighing in at around 1800, but that may have been with driver. I'm fairly sure the absolute lightest you will see on the street without going tube-frame will be in the region of 2000LBS.
