Question Changes in the 1st gen in different areas around the world.

hey,

i tryed searching for this but no luck,

heres my question. i know mazda changed the 1st gen alot for diferent areas in the world. like the washer things on the front bumper. and the fender mounted side views. the dash ect..

is there a list or possible a list we can make here that shows the differences in the 1st gen in differnt parts of the world? heres what i can come up with right now:

1) Fender mounted side views (japan and australia only?)

2) washer things on the front bumper (canada only?)

3) 12aT (japan only?)

4) turn signal an corner lights differances (i know they are different i just dont know how.)

5) square style dash (US and Canada only?)

thats all i can think of but i know there is more.

am i right on these what else can you guys add to it?

i hate my canadian bumper mounted squirters! they look ugly, dont work, and leave a gaping holoe in the bumper skin whe they are removed.

One of the major differences was in the 12A engine, the North American model continued to be the detuned version to meet pollution controls while other markets such as Australia received the 'mild port' version which produced some 115-117bhp as stock in the s2 and s3 models. In contrast only the NA received 13B engined Gen 1.

Another obvious difference was the rear number plate arrangements and rear mouldings..
