Centerforce cual friction pressure plate
Centerforce cual friction pressure plate
Had a centerfirce dualfriction kit installed started slipping after about a year decided to buy the racing beat 4 puck sport/racing 4 puck Copper disc and it was just to grippy for nyc streets I’ve just ordered the street strip disc from racing beat I plan on using it with my centerforce pressure plate anybody have any reviews on how that clutch is ? Thanks
I'm running the Exedy Stage 1 with RB aluminum flywheel and it works great. I'm also in the middle of the Sonoran desert with very few hills to have to worry about slipping the clutch a lot to do hill starts, though. Now that I've been driving it 2 years, no signs of slippage, and it's light enough to make the car a lot more fun to drive,

A N/A rotary does not really make very much torque at all.
Probably about as much as an older Toyota Camry.
Any more clutch than a street clutch is just asking for longevity, drive ability, and noise issues.
The Exedy clutch is nice, it is OEM quality made in Japan.
I run that same clutch on my SP 12A.

The centerforce pressure plate used with an OEM style disk like the Exedy or Valeo works really well. In fact, centerforce uses Valeo brand parts. Just be sure to match up the disk center spring section with the opening in the pressure plate's friction surface as some were not fully compatible due to ID vs OD size differences.
Jeff u went and lost me with that one will a street strip 225 mm fit with the center force dual friction plate ? I was running racing beats 4 puck copper one with it was realllly grippy do
There are two official sizes for the sprung center on clutch discs. Some had a large diameter and some were small. Exedy used to use the large diameter but have since changed over to the small size which makes them compatible with pretty much all pressure plates made for these cars, in 215mm and 225mm.
