cat delete difference

I have done some searching and can't seem to find the answer. Does anyone know the difference between the exhaust on the 85 gs 12a with auto and manual. I want to order the cat delete pipe and all RB has left is the one for the auto 12a. Mine is 12a with manual. Will it work?

Rotary Performance sells a good "Bonez" cat delete pipe that doubles as a presilencer, for MT. $125 plus shipping:

http://www.rx7.com/store/rx7/saexhaust.html

They say it just replaces the main cat, but I think that is an error, the one I bought from them replaced all three cats, bolting straight up to the stock exhaust manifold and back to the mid pipe. Here's a photo:

Well I swapped the fuel tank. Runs good now except for the idle issues, needs the carb rebuilt. Didn't get a chance to get the pipe in today. Will try tomorrow, weather permitting. I will let you know if it fits.

The one for the auto is 4.5 inches to long. Getting it cut and welded in a little bit and i'll post the results.

Other than makeing the pipe shorter-thats sounds like the pipe was a good deal at the price you got it for,I spoke with Racing beat& they werent sure what type of mods were needed...Keep us posted of progress.

They sold me the pipe for 55.00 and the gaskets were 10.00 a piece, shipping was 25.00. 100.00 total. The pipe is in. Cut 4 inches not 4.5 cause the flange is a half inch and it fit perfect! Still a little too quiet with the racing beat muffler that was already on it but oh well. Still sounds good! I am posting this from my phone. When I get inside i'll post pics of the progress.

Finished pipe and a pic of the car after it's first visit to the car wash. I will get some pictures of it installed tomorrow.
