Carter fuel pump installed - pics

Carter fuel pump installed - pics

Went for this position rather gettting it placed on the rail.

Those plastic ty-raps look a little tight, almost pinching the fuel line.

Also why did you remove the metal tray the old fuel pump was mounted to? I mounted my fuel filter in the orginal spot so it can sit level.

You are going to find the pump is noisy, I added some rubber padding between mounting plate and the car body to help some.

Looks good! Is it sitting upright? Its hard to tell. I have a carter the same size as yours. I had a time installing it.

Looks good, but you definately need some rubber mounts, it'll drive you crazy otherwise.

Good point. I might re-install it. Lines are not being pinched, it just looks like it.

It is upright. The first photo shows it a little better than the 2nd.

Ha! it's not that loud. I can only hear it at idle. Otherwise, even with the RB muffler, the engine is louder than it. That's without taking into account the stereo

Man i have the 16 psi carter pump and its pretty loud. People are always like"whats wrong with your car"

Well I don't know what you got a 16 psi pump for, but my 8 psi one is not too loud
