carburated 6 port with sleeves?
ive never had sleeve actuators, but i was thinking about putting them back in when i rebuild my engine. how are they....actuated? is it possible to use them? i'll probably use the pinnaple sleeves.
also, has anyone ever experimented with different spring rates or whatever to have them actuate at a lower RPM?

Leave them out.
You have the Dellorto kit that uses the stock lower intake manifold right?
In stock form they were actuated by exhaust pressure via a tube from the cat I think. so you would have to rig up something similar if you wanted to use them again. I think they're more trouble than they are probably worth, even when they are open they are still a restriction (even the pineapple sleves)
I don't have them and my car makes GREAT low end,and top end.

im just trying to think of different options. it'd be nice to port the 5th and 6th ports out a lot, and take it easy on the main ports, so i didnt get and real gas use unless i took it above 4800rpm

I know they're not ttthaaaattttt restrictive, I just don't think they're worth it.
I have also been told that differant porting on the 5&6 doesn't really work that well (it used to be a dream of mine to have a BP 5&6 a street port the rest) Something to do with overlap and messing up the port timing.
I dunno, do what you like, and good luck,
