I was looking thru the picks in the Haynes manual and noticed a piece of linkage not hooked upcorrectly. its on page 76 top left photo almost in the center of it. threaded rod w/ spring has a t -type threaded nut on top. So when you set the nut a certain way it stays in a little u cup bracket. Was not all the way up.like in the photo only. But to the first bracketonly. Anyways put it the way it showed and an awesome power increase in the midrange. Just what is it and do you think the carb was rebuilt and they goofed on this linkage?

It's a very common occurrence to see this T nut not sitting on its "perch" when working on a car someone is complaining is not working properly. Without this rod in place, throttle feel is awful and WOT is impossible...
