carboned apex seal.
carboned apex seal.
This may be a stupid question, but why do you only remove and add seafoam/MMO to the leading plug holes and not all 4? If I suspect that I have an apex seal/seals that are not seating properly from carbon, is there any advantage to letting the seals soak for more than one day? I didn't find an answer to this one in the archive threads.

Trust me on this one... As long as the car is driveable, then just dump a can into a partial tank of gas and go for a drive. You'll feel the difference immediately, no matter how bad the carbon buildup was.
Thanks Kent. When you say "a can" you mean seafoam, not MMO, right? Also, can an apex seal stick because of a lack of lubrication and not necessarily carbon?
Yes, I was reffering to Seafoam. And yes, I have used it in conjunction with MMO without issue.
However, if you are adding the MMO due to the lack of an OMP then I would recommend a 2 cycle oil addative rather than MMO. A lot of guys use the MMO instead, but its so much thinner than a good 2 cycle oil that I have my doubts as to how effective it would be for lubrication.
Jeeze, how's that for alphabet soup?
