carbon or stock??

im starting to gather parts for a bridged 12a this summer
i cant decide if i want carbon or stock seals

i like the carbons, since less stuf will break, and rebiulds will be cheaper when they pop

but i know stockers "should" last longer

BTW I dont plan on taking it past 9500rpm

Carbons are good for engines that see hi rpms all the time. ie-race motors. If your driving on the street, then you lose any advantage they give. Carbons show lower compression numbers than iron seals at low rpms.

i would stick with the stock apex seals. unless you are driving it more on the track than on the road.

If you plan on seeing 9500rpm on a regular basis that pretty much rules out the stock seals. Have you thought about going for a "softer" steal seal like from Hurley?

An other thing is, if you cut a big bridge-port on the primaries and secondaries with matched rotor-housings you run the risk of dislodging the apex-seal corner piece. Some of the after-market seals have a longer corner piece to overcome this. With carbons it obviously doesn't matter as they're one-piece.

for stockers i was gonna go half with one set turned reverse

edit:
im convinced
with the lack of my needs for a dailey driver
and no sound laws in mississippi
full bridge with carbons are the way to go
